The hobby is dying!!! Don’t you believe it!!

November has met with increased enthusiasm and our trusty customers have been back for more!!

We had a delivery of rotary valves from David Frith and a delivery of cast brass pony’s and steps from our supplier in Dorset.

Our salt vans have been as popular as ever and we are down to just 3 shiny examples in the ‘showroom’ now.

Jack really delivered with the Loco headboards and these have started to migrate to their new positions on Smoke box doors. One has even found its way to Germany.

Our gig at the NEC was well supported and contributed £491.21 to the monthly pot.

Our turnover for November was a nifty £1583.07.

Shipping came to £134.39 and fees of £34.82. This left £1413.06 to be sent to the bank. (£1300.44 from paypal plus a manual deposit of £112.62)

Live drive kits are down to single figures (5) now so the new year will necessitate a new order to David Palmer for another batch,,,Lovely little boxes of joy!!!

One request, (You dont see many of these) if you request parts and if I send you a pro forma invoice via Paypal POS (old Zettle), could I ask that you please use the payment link found within the invoice for payment using any card you may have as paying a different way i.e direct to the Paypal account or Bank account leaves the invoice open ended and gives me more work and frustration chasing/searching for payments defeating the smooth process afforded by the paypal POS system. You dont need to have a paypal account set up on your device.

The month finished with the opening of another fine shop in Sheffield Railway Station courtesy of or friends at Rails of Sheffield. Now they are booming as a business so lets applaud thier tenacity and maybe we will see more expansion in due course. They have even started to return to the show scene so things are afoot!

So here we are in the final month of 2025, happy to wake up to a new day every day and happy to see another fine year of serving our membership.

We are headed for a record year once again and a new shop feature to launch in the new year!! Yes, a ‘rolling stone’ and all that blah!!
