Club Reports

Evening all,,, well,,,, since may last report, the state of world affairs have changed remarkably, and one cannot help thinking of where we may be in a month, 2 months or a years time..!! Hopefully we can retain life as we know it and enjoy our live steam modelling for the foreseeable..! At least we seem to have killed off Covid or at least all talk of it.!!!!

Nevertheless,,,, February has been another good month for the Club shop with a turnover of

£886-00 with £804-00 going to the bank after fees and postage have been deducted.

We had a splendid Doncaster show with over £277 in sales. Coffee consumption was back to the usual levels as were the various rail incidences!!!! 😅

It was nice to catch up with Eric once again as we don’t get to see him so much now as northern based shows are becoming scarce.

We had a unbuilt live drive kit kindly donated to the club by a member who acquired it with a loco he bought sometime earlier. This kit was checked over for completeness and duly sold on to the next customer wanting a Live drive kit. The only anomaly was the name ‘Adrian’ written on the side of the box in my own handwriting!!!! (Hmmmmm!!!! I guess Adrian never got round to making them up! Tut Tut!!)

Our next gig will be in London at Ally Pally and we look forward to this show even though it will cost us a small fortune in ULEZ charges on top of the usual outgoings and not a penny from the organisers….shame on them!!!
