Club shop report January 2025
So were all set for the first show of the year, shop all packed and ready, water bottles all filled, coffee machine serviced,,,what else could there be to do,,,hmmmmm,,, ahhh yess how about the January shop report!!!
Iv’e been so busy collating all the shop stock and rushing about preparing for my inpending hospital sojurn,, iv’e overlooked the report,,!! (Again!)
Well i can report a healthy return for January,, folk with short arms have found the bottom of thier deep pockets!!
Total turnover for the month was £717.75 with £648.80 arriving at the bank account after postage and fees deducted.
One of our faithfull members from Germny,, Gunther, who always graces us with his generous pile of Euros, indulged himself in a bonanza of spares to keep his obvious live steam collection in fine fettle.
Part of the above figure does include a balance payment for a special edition for Nigel so its nice to help out ‘Special Branch’ from time to time.
Stock take 2025 has been a prolonged afair, discovering some extra stock from ACmodelspares tucked away, that doesn't seem to have been accounted for during 2023/2024. At least its all on the sheets now and up to date.
Our friend David Frith has been most helpfull in supplying a small quantity of high demand items and at a very short notice has whipped up some A4 CNC cover gaskets to keep the service boys happy.
Magnets for the ‘naughty’ regulator motors have been very popular and we look forward to a further consignment in due course. Shipping them takes a bit of thought as i have found them sticking to the inside of post boxes and the side of white goods around the house, such is thier magnetic power. Putting them in the middle of an oversised packing box seems to work,, its like shipping nuclear matter!!!
Oh well better get some sleep, george will be here soon for an early breakfast before set off.
