Club shop report March 20231/2
Hello everyone, its me again with this months driv,,,,,, er shop report!!
Well what a month that was,,!! Wind, Rain, Snow, Hail, Frost, Grey skies, Blue skies all mixed together with a couple of nice shows at either end of our little world.
The first was at Harrogate at the Yorkshire showground which whilst it didn't turn much coin for the club it was a nice venture North, (we need more North!!!) to interact with the ‘lesser spotted yorshireman’ who generally don coats with long pockets to go with their very short arms. This ensures they hold on to their beer tokens, and in some cases, forget to pay their bills. Yes, We are still awaiting our attendance money for this show, Mr Boak of Pickering, your time is up, please come to the office.!!
The next was our usual sojourn to the ‘Smoke’ for the BRM bash at ‘That Heap on the Hill’ where the clothing is generally worn in reverse. Long armed people with shallow pockets. Hence, the takings were much more favourable and we managed to shift another ‘swathe’ of Maurices ‘Chattels from Chiswick’ to the tune of £220.
The gross for the shop this month was £926 with £897.86 going into the bank at the end of the month After postage and fees deducted.
More Water was procured from APC and bottled by yours truly and we have received a quantity of A4 Cushions from David Frith. He is about to finish another 20 Tool Sets for us as these are sought after items.
Worth mentioning,,,,To enable the shows to function this month Andrew John and myself had much fun relieving Chris of the layout due to his forced rest,,,,,you are resting aren't you Chris????
It is currently stored in my aptly named Bletchton High Level Station House. It is going to be the only layout there for the forseesble but it is being kept nice and warm with 160 watts of nice low level heating 24/7 so should be ready for another sortie hopefully in July.
All the best to everyone and hope to see the rest of you at some point soon.
Nick
