Club shop Report September 2025
Ohhh that month flew past a bit quickly,,,! We must have been busy!!!
Indeed it was and after a steady start and a few wagon/part sales we had our Statfold Weekend where it was nice to ‘get back on the horse’ so to speak. My recovery has gone well so far, and i was able to enjoy our company and keep the parts flowing for Chris's instant fixit shop!!
The rake of club salt wagons proved hard for chris not to photograph going around the layout, and so,,,,,
,,,,,On 20th of the month or thereabouts a mailshot went out regarding our new Salt Wagons to the membership and that was like lighting a fuse!!
The resultant enthusiastic ‘Salt Rush ‘ ensued and I was run off my feet with wagon orders!! 13 went out in one day.!!! There were some triple orders, double orders and a pair went off to Holland and Malta.
We shifted 38 wagons for the month and current stock is now in the ‘teens’! We can safely say it has been a success with just a handfull to sell between now and Xmas.
We had a turnover of £1505.10 for the month and after fees , postage and discounts £1400.80 was sent to the bank in total! Not bad eh!!!
Some replacement tender to loco cables have been made by Dave P and Eric, so we have stocks of these now.
Some cast brass items are on back order so may show up in the future.
I shall be at GETS this weekend ( it would be rude not to!!) to rub shoulders with industry Friends and enjoy the layouts. And thereafter, look forward to Gaydon where we will be in full steam once again!!
Well,, thats 3/4 of the way through the year and we are on target for a record year, so see you all soon..!!
