Club Reports

Well folks, here we are in an another year and a new accounting year for the club and the club shop. We will be running the numbers from Jan through to December from now on.

January burst into action for us with brisk sales from around the globe from New Zeland to Germany to my very home town of Bletchley, such is our live steam demographic.

Total sales for the month was £1053.00 with £940.27 being the net figure sent to the bank after fees and postage was deducted.

We are out of many items like Water, Tools, Wowsticks, Airline kits and Gauges so a shopping spree will be in order soon.

One of the new bespoke items to come to the shop for the future will be bronze wheel bearings after a customer requested some due to excessive wear. We have asked our trusty engineer David to spin some up which he has done and they will appear in the shop soon.

Talking recently to a member, he asked about a loco service pack being made available to contain ALL the seals and gaskets for a full loco service, I have given it some thought and have come up with a six item service pack for both A3 and A4 locos with a cost of 19.50 and 16.50 respectively. This is reflecting a 10% discount on buying items separately.

The pack will contain,

Piston Seals x1 set,

Tender seal x 1,

Oil Seal x1,

Rotary valve cushion or seals x1,

Boiler safety valve seal x1,

Superheater Gasket x1,

This will be a handy route for someone wishing to do a full strip search of their loco with out the need to cherry pick items in a single fashion. Of course single item will still be available as normal. Unless i receive any objection i will implement this product from March subject to stock levels of required components.
