Club shop report September 2023
So thats it!!! Summer was washed away well and truly with my hols to the south coast, I experienced 2 hurricanes and at least 4 storms in 2 weeks, shaking my caravan from side to side and with horizontal rain, it was like enduring a rough fairground ride, or a quick reverse on the Flying Scotsman!!!!!
So although sales were predictedly sparse we did well with a turnover of £423.30. After postage and fees £407.32 was transferred to the bank.
I received 27 bespoke hand made loco to tender cables from Dave Price which are super..these little gems have been sought after for a while now and no longer available from our hornby parts supplier. Well done to Dave for undertaking this laborious task. These will bring us a tidy profit so make sure you buy Dave a Lemonade at GETS!!
Our parts deal with Hornby has almost been clinched and it just leaves Charles and I to make the collection from Hersden in Kent,,,we will then have swept Hornby of all remnants of Live steam, somthing im sure they will be glad to see the back of!!!
