Club shop report July 2024
Well, as is usually the case the shop starts to thrive once again after a late spring lull in sales,,We had a lovely time at the Chatham show which made everybody feel good and back on track so to speak.
Locos were fettled, and brought back to running order, Food and drink was enjoyed, Whistles were blown and steam raised for the pleasure of all. ,,,,Steady!!!
Our Total shop turn over for the month was £355.90 inc postage and a few second hand Hornby spares. At the Chatham show we collected payment on a couple of outstanding Service invoices on members locos totalling £361.50. After postage and fees, a total of £660.65 was sent to the bank, so respectable returns considering its holiday season and folks money finds new targets to hit.
We have our summer meet next weekend which will give good opportunity to move a bit more stock, i will bring as much stock as possible. We have visitors from Scotland so i will be on form with the sales patter ha ha!
