Ahhhhh,,, thats better!!!! The weather cools down and the sales go up!!!!

Yes we have recovered somewhat this month in the shop and just had a great time at Shildon where pockets were duly emptied of all loose cash!!! Thanks to Val for organising this gig and keeping us all in our places!!!!!

Turn over for the month was 904.08 with a net of 858.33 going to the bank after postage and fees.

Andrew has produced another 5 tool sets and 10 connection leads to keep us afloat.

I am reviewing AC ModelSpares stocklist to see what we should purchase from them to improve our stock situation on Hornby spare parts. Some items have now run out completely here and they do not even have replacments to sell us.

Sales have remained quiet with only a new Mallard Set sold in July. A potential sale of a used FSDT awaits confirmation from the buyer

There have been a couple of purchases recently. Part of my collection was purchased by the Club, thank you, and a collection of 5 used locos from a member – Papyrus, FSDT, DDE, Seagull & Golden Fleece which when serviced will give us one of everything to offer for sale.

I have made an offer to a long standing club member and collector who has 3 new locos still in their original Hornby shipping boxes he wishes to sell, along with various spares and accessories

Phew,,,,bit hot int it!!!!

A reasonable month for the shop considering the holiday season is well underway! We had a lovely, if a bit warm, weekend at Wabtec in Doncaster which no doubt has widened our social footprint and hopefully our viability at historical and heritage settings up and down the country. We were welcomed and encouraged throughout the weekend, gaining a little business and publicity in the process! Thanks for all your hard work with this Val!!

Total shop turnover for the month was 842.05 including some club clothing sales and sale of some salvage parts. In addition to the above amount was a loco sale payment of 490-00 for Nigel. After fees and postage costs of 170.30.

At the end of the month, 1161.75 was sent to the bank.

Our shop running total for the last 6 months is standing at 4,704.44
