2026 Roadshow Events

Hello All,

As whispered at SVR and Ruddington we have been asked to exhibit at the special event above organised by Wabtec and Doncaster Council. It was a well kept secret until very recently. The final arrangements are still being made but up to now setup is planned for Thursday 18th June, we will then exhibit at a short day on Friday (times to be decided) and a full day on Saturday 10am until 6pm, setdown will be after this.

We will be one of the attractions/entertainments and unlike usual events we will have no shop and will be limited to one trestle table for servicing & demonstration purposes.

I do now have a sufficient team for this event. I will send further details when I get them.

We will use the usual Premier Inn at Lakeside, Doncaster.

This event will not be advertised on the Club website.

Hello All,

We have chosen this date for our visit to locomotion. Setup will be after the museum closes at 5pm on Friday 28th August. We have the option of exhibiting some or all of Bank Holiday Monday 31st should you so wish and setdown will then follow.

We have been offered our own lockable room for personal belongings and this also has a kitchen with kettle/microwave/ fridge etc

The team at the moment is Chris, Eric, DP, VP, Caroline, Tim, Jack, Charles and possibly Andrew.

Hello All,

I have been speaking to Pam Porter from Locomotion in Shildon to see if we would like to take the Roadshow up to their event across the six week summer holiday. This is not a rail show but we would be demonstrating as part of an engineering themed set of activities for families.

I am looking at either the weekends of 22/23 August or 29/30/31 August which is Bank Holiday. We could add a day or so to either weekend if we would like to as timing is flexible, having six weeks to choose from.

Please let me know if you ARE available and which dates suit you best and I can speak to Pam as soon as I can to organise.

As some of you already know, I received an email this afternoon from Sarah Jarman at Warners re Ally Pally saying a space has become available if we would like it. I have made a few phone calls and we should be able to make a team up for this event.

I have Chris, Nick, Andrew, George, Jack, Caroline and Tim. Matt and Charles doing one day each.

I will let Sarah know tomorrow morning that we can do this event and I will the do another post as soon as everything is confirmed and we can then go ahead and book accommodation.
