I read that premiere inn are allowing bookings for everybody from 26th May onward,!!!
So if we get to do Ally Pally in August we’re ok for digs! Don’t quite know how they will organise social distancing but hey, that’s the new world we are entering. Perhaps we may be cordoned off with no public participation but us all wearing masks but what will be will be I guess!

Good thoughts Mike, I think we will rather be safe than sorry!
I guess the nation like others just wants to get back to normal, but they don’t realise that normal has just changed for a long while. It could be that all mingling type of shows such as ours are banned for a long time yet so we could be the last to get going again.
So be it!
On the other hand, good Things are happening in model railway land at the moment as folk try to find new things to occupy their mind and time. Live steamers are no exception either.
Keep safe and healthy my good friends!
Following the discussions on the TV, I am not convinced that we would be inadequately protected to survive 14 hours of contact with the public in the conditions of an exhibition. Some of our number are young enough and fit enough to be able to shrug off this virus but many are at risk and could end up in hospital or worse. I am beginning to be concerned about the possible effects of relaxing the shut down. A drop in the number of deaths as a trigger for change means that there is the acceptance by the scientists and the government that a significant number of the older section of our society are expected to die for the benefit of the economy. There is still no treatment to combat this virus and inoculation will not appear until next year at the earliest. Unless this treatment becomes available I will have to continue self isolating and I expect that many of you will decide to be safe rather than sorry.
Meanwhile we are still trying to get the house ready to put on the market but now it will probably be sometime next year before we try to sell.
Yes considering most face masks are only as good as visors to protect you! How good is a visor at protecting others though if you sneeze or cough! 😷
I haven’t touched a mask or visor since the beginning of this problem but then again I steer well clear of anyone If I’m out! My wife tested positive so I kept well clear of her too!! Brilliant!
She was without symptoms so all is now well.
I volunteer at our local village shop and we are starting to use 3D printed visors that can be washed. More socially friendly than masks I think.
