- Club ReportsStill quiet on the sales front I’m afraid. Having said that all 3 enquiries received converted into sales, 1 set of controllers and two locos, one of which was a new Papyrus, contributing to a monthly total of £1770. We were offered two new Mallard sets from a prospective seller and he was quoted in accordance with our guidelines. Yet another one who thinks he has the crown jewels – he “assured me” me they were worth at least £750 each! We now have a good selection of locos for sale having at least one of every model available, with the exception of Silver LinkLike
- Club ReportsWhere is this year going!!!! Just a while ago it was dark and cold and wet and now we have the opposite.!! I am struggling with the enforced heat, but not to worry it wont last and the rust will be back soon!! Another good month for the club shop and a late flurry of activity brought us to 4 figures,,,,just!!! Total turnover for April was 1037.40 with 957.32 being the net amount to the bank after fees and postage. We had a bunch of Tender connection leads and track connection leads made for us by Andrew ans very good they are too. We have 100 salt wagons on order so look forward to those comming into stock in due course. New clothing is being considered as well so we should all look Bang Tidy in a few months time!! Interesting destinations for shop item have been Florida and Israel this month so live steam is still of interest globally Looking forward to this weekend at the SVR where we can all play trains in the cool.!!! See you all tomorow and if not at the next gig or summer meet in West Yorks!!! NickLike
- General DiscussionIn the week I had an email from our previous contact, Sam Coventon at Hornby Hersden Distribution Centre to inform me that they are moving out and re-locating (to somwhere up north i believe..!) To that end they have been packing up stock and in the process have discovered 750 packs of Live Stem A3 Oil Seals (probably some of the stock available to us after the demise of John Humphrey,) and asked if we would like them..to which I quickly said yes. Today i had a package arrive will said seals inside. The retail value to us is £4,500!!! I will add these to our stock list and make them available imediately. Thank you Hornby!!Like
