You may recall that a while ago we trialled a deputy newsletter position filled by Richard Schoenewolf who 'disappeared' and as we were unable to contact him, eventually the position was disbanded as it didn't really serve any purpose.
Today I received an email from him that explains why he disappeared and as with everything in life its nice to have the loose ends all tied up.

I am sorry to hear about your illness but it does explain why we have been unable to contact you.
