As it is the time of year when we all think of someone we hav’nt seen for a while, it struck me that there are a couple of the committee that have been very quiet of late and have even evaded the prowling emails sent to entice some comment therfrom on committee maters.
So,,,, as we dont appear to have a secondary means of contact for each other, could I make a suggestion that we all as a collective, supply Chris our Secretary with some alternative bona fide contact details (wife, sister or brother) so that in the event of a percieved serious problem, contact can be established and the possible cause of ‘radio silence‘ can be understood/noted.
These details would be kept confidential and only used if there arose a concern that a committee member may be in some kind of trouble and unable to touch base with the club.
We are not getting any younger and it would not be nice to find that a member has had a serious problem that we could somehow have helped with or shared with others who could have helped.
