Hi,
First of all loco sales have been going well, and am building up a stock of donor locos in anticipation of demand for the soon to be announced limited edition models. I now have in stock five Mallard sets and one Golden Fleece, which I plan to use as donor locos, for the time being I’ll not be putting these up for sale. I also have a further Golden Fleece coming shortly; I’m taking that in p/x for a Silver Link. This Golden Fleece will be a donor loco in addition the one above.
In addition to this the Flying Scotsman currently advertised for sale was sold yesterday, a further Mallard set (in addition to those above) has been sold to Mrs Lythgoe for her grandson Jack.
We have for sale currently, a further little used Flying Scotsman loco only, just collected this weekend and an unused Mallard set. These will be posted sometime this week.
To date we have sold thirteen locos/sets, a rake of carriages and a rolling road. Generating a profit for the club of £1585.
I also have one piece of disappointing news, the unused DTFS sold recently to Charles Tanswell, was not unused, unfortunately it was Charles who found this out when he took the body off the loco. It has been policy so far not to touch unused locos unless the buyer wants us to do so. I immediately offered Charles his money back, but he wanted to keep the loco, so I discounted it by £100, he’s more than happy with this as I offered it without prompting, I could no doubt have not have to offered anything, and he would have accepted that, but the reputation of the club is all important. On this particular loco we therefore broke even. We still have one satisfied customer.
In future we will not take a members word for the condition of a loco, Eric has suggested we put together a checklist to determine if a loco has been used or not, I will post separately a list of exterior items to look for and Eric will do the same for the internals. When you see this please add to it, but remember all we are trying to determine is has it been run or not.

Hi Everybody,
As most of you know we have recently sold one of George's DTFS's, the loco was sold for £595 to Martin Waller. George has also bought from the club an FS on it's own no box for £300, Eric has therefore credited George with £295. George plans to use this money for a future limited edition.
Maurice.
Hi Guys,
I have decided to try e bay as we have a number of Mallard sets, so not depriving a member, likewise will also try a Silver Link as I have three of them, doing it now as they have £1 offer on. It will be interested to see how it goes.
