I have been extremely busy of late, but it has taken a very wet and thundery day for me to be able to spend some time on-line trying to catch up with what has been going on.
i had noticed that I had had few messages about posts in my inbox, but though it was a lack of posts. What I have discovered is that looking at a post does not keep you updated. You actually have to post a message within the thread, the programme then tells you when ever something else is added. A lot of the time, I don't have anything meaningful to add to the conversation, so just continued to the next thread.
So what I am now doing is adding a "one liner". I am now using "Noted to this point", which is where I have read to, that way, what ever is added after will be sent to my inbox. If you want to be updated, without always having to log on, this is a way you could do it i think.

I have been using the settings in the menu associated with the members picture at the top right of the screen. I then tick everything in sight. Although not 100% effective it does pick up almost all posts. I then occasionally go round each of the groups to see if I have missed anything.
Hi Mike
I didn't realise that. What solution have you found then?

Hi Norman
The problem with your solution is that everone else gets a notification for each of your posts!
I had thought of this procedure as a means of confirming that each committee member had read all the posts but abandoned it for this reason.
Interesting . . . . . . can you try on the OOLS site to see if it works there
PS. I have changed my picture yet again, but still show a blank face. i give up on that one...
It worked Chris, I got an instant notification of your comment!

As with many things it seems that what I thought would happen and what does happen are often not the same thing! A useful tip to make life easier.
