- Loco Sales 2019/2020In General Discussion30 September 2020Hi Adrian, it’s from the last sales report. Very much governed by supply at a realistic price. Having said that enquires are lower than a couple of months ago.00
- CoronavirusIn General Discussion9 March 2020Rugby players were never to be trusted! Hopefully Horsham will be on track! (Sorry!) I do think that for the next few shows, all us operators including the public should use hand sanitizers before and after using the controllers. We can provide what’s needed and a regular alcohol rub down to the barriers etc should help immensely. Any filthy talk will be met with a nice cold blast of IPA! Ha ha!00

- Loco Sales 2019/2020In General Discussion20 May 2020Eight locos sold since my last sales post, they are 1 Papyrus, 1 Seagull, 2 Dwight D Eisenhower, 2 Golden Fleece, 1 Silver Link and 1 Flying Scotsman, loco only. Profit to club £830.59 owed to me £3246.46. This is high due to some high value items sold. I will be asking Eric to pay me £3246.46. He will have a spreadsheet with all the detail. Maurice00
- Withdrawing Supply from a MemberIn General Discussion23 February 2021James now seems to understand how the club works and has contacted me again two offers. As the nature of this discussion has changed I have started a fresh discussion in the Technical Section. https://membership284.wixsite.com/ools-com/forum/technical/james-reading-offers00
- CoronavirusIn General Discussion2 March 2020I think we can leave this decision until nearer the time and heed government advice at the time although individuals may want to decide now. Maurice, in your case it is pretty clear you will be taking extra precautions. If Chris however wants to pull the plug then that's settled. I for one am happy to wait for now. The event of course may cancel. If so, so be it. Adrian00
- CoronavirusIn General Discussion25 March 2020Does that include live Norman. ie can any one of us upload a live feed to our facebook page for millions (think big) to view? Presumably you would need administrator access since, surely you couldn't let anyone upload live to any facebook site? I have to admit I am close to being a facebook denier and definitely a facebook avoider. With what my son is doing live on facebook with PlanesTV it's time I bit the bullet. (I'd ask him but he's not answering at the moment).00
- CoronavirusIn General Discussion18 March 2020No, not as yet. Picking up on Adrian's comment about Crawley expenses, as they were paying us £350, it would have cost the club very little, so there is little or no budget to pay these, Ally Pally was different as they pay us nothing and I had budgeted for that. However if Premier Inn are allowing one to cancel then that's good news. Can you, Nick/Adrian check and see if they will do the same for this weekend at Ally Pally. Thanks,00

- Withdrawing Supply from a MemberIn General Discussion18 February 2021Chris, this chap is in the facebook group and has posted some interesting and useful photos, videos and how-to's for group members. Based on what I have seen of him, he could be an asset to the club. I would agree with you that he remains a member but is on "probation" with the sales ban caveat you mention. lit is extremely simple to monitor an eBay seller to make sure he sticks by his word. I think it raises some issues about things like Live Drive. To understand how something works, you do have to reverse engineer it. If you then go on and add bluetooth or something else, I would class it as an improvement. Suppose this was another member, who was doing it for the benefit of the club. What then? It is right that people don't profit from our design but locking things down too tightly may be counter productive. I re-arranged the order of things in my live drive, to suit being left handed. Does that count? So I would support you Chris, as you have spoken to him.00
- Loco Sales 2019/2020In General Discussion21 May 2020I've transferred £2000.00 to Maurice as I can only pay out this maximum once per day. Balance tomorrow Maurice. Another super performance to gather funds.00
