Hello Norman a service pack sounds like a very good idea if Nick can spare the time to make them up. It could be labled as a 'general service pack' and include the pistons seal sets and a gasket set for each loco type. Could also include a spanner for the cylinders, or not if the member already has one. The spanners are the easiest tool for me to make. There is one gasket type that is no longer available, the A4 rotary valvle housing. I have approached a couple of gasket makers but they are too small for them to make. However, I will see if I can design and make a tool to make them by hand. Your comments about RoS are valid to me and the notion has already been mooted. Maybe this an opportunity for the committee to discuss options about an offer to them.

No brainer. Yes. But please confirm just what is meant when Glyn says " Prices here will reflect the price with your bit on top." but then talks about discounts. Does the customer get this discount or is this our commission? Does "on top" mean the customer pays more than list price in order to give us a commission?

Difficult this one. I think it would be far preferential to just issue an alternative video. We sell a lot of videos on the bases that it has updated operating info. (presumably it does, I've never watched it) Best avoid getting people muddled. But 1 b,c,d,f would be a fair vote. Charles

The difficult part is putting a value on the “broken loco” so let’s work back from a selling price. Taking a used Mallard set, one just sold on e bay not complete for £335, some track and instruction booklet missing. So let’s assume we could get £350 for a running guaranteed OOLS Mallard set. Taking Eric’s recent experience of a Golden Fleece bought from AC Models, cost £50 in parts to fix. That takes us to £300. We would then want say £75 for the club, we’re down to £225. If a payment is to be made to the person fixing it say £50, then purchase price of £175. I don’t think we would get many at that price when you look at the prices AC Models are getting. Is there a way to make this work, possibly, we need to add value, how do we do that? OOLS guarantee has to have a value. Name and number change would have value as well. So let’s test the market, take one of the AC Models Mallards we have bought, fixit, name change it; offer it with the name of your choice? Asking price £295 loco on it’s own, OOLS guarantee, no box etc. Maurice

The shirts/fleeces have arrived. The long sleeved ones are a darker shade of blue but not enough to be an issue. Being deluxe the are slightly better quality as well. Options 1. Price as per the Kentish Embroidery prices with the discount going to the club 2. Roadshow team members get the discount direct? Please indicate your preference.
